This year, we proudly partnered with TED, whose 2025 conference theme, Humanity Reimagined, explored how emerging technology can support us whilst still preserving our essential humanity. 

Human first, tech second

In a world increasingly dominated by screens and notifications, most wearables only add to the noise. We wanted to take a different approach. The question we’re asking is: what if technology helped us tune in, rather than zone out?

“We’re not here to replace your intuition with algorithms.” says Tim Manschot, Founder and CEO of NOWATCH. “We’re here to help you hear what your body has been saying all along.” 

Unlike lots of other traditional fitness trackers that rely on flashing screens and constant alerts, NOWATCH quietly collects on an analog wearable. The app then spots patterns in your data, notifying you only when there’s something worth noticing. 

Turning stress into strength

At TED2025, we supported speakers with real-time health insights, revealing how the body responds to intense moments like preparing for, and stepping into, the iconic red circle. Whether you’re giving a TED Talk or presenting to colleagues at work, public speaking can trigger very human reactions: sweaty palms, a racing heart, butterflies in the stomach. That’s your stress response kicking into action. It’s completely normal, in fact, your body needs that stress response to help it rise to the occasion. The key though, is learning how to work with it.

A message from your nervous system

NOWATCH gently vibrates when it detects a prolonged stress response, helping users recognise these signals so they can choose to utilise that energy, or pause and reset. When it comes to life’s big moments, it’s not just about the spotlight, it’s about the preparation too. NOWATCH also tracks your sleep, steps, workouts and more, helping you understand which everyday habits help you perform at your best. Because awareness changes everything.
